Yokohama

Quick post, I am in Yokohama. Went to visit a lady called Haruko today at Gallery Tsumugi. She is an antique fabric collector/dealer. Bought some nice paste resist and shibori pieces. Photos later. Check out her website by googling Gallery Tsumugi.

Clare Smith: Wellington, New Zealand; I'm a textile artist living in Wellington, New Zealand. In 2000 I completed an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts and in 2012 I went on to do a Graduate Diploma in Applied Art. My initial undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology and after my degree I completed a Teaching Diploma. Over the last few years I have also completed a diploma in Maori Visual arts.I now mostly teach adults and specialize in surface design (textile dyeing and printing), machine quilting and quilt design classes.
