Gardening day

I have had the best day. I pulled up a load of dying tomato plants and put in cauliflowers, lettuces and onions. Then I made a 1 metre square wire cage to go over the top to stop the birds from digging all the plants up again.
It was a great relief not to be forcing information into people's heads but instead doing something soothing like gardening. I can't believe I never discovered it earlier in my life. Now to deal with several kilos of green tomatoes and several more of red ones.

  1. Hi Clare,

Glad to see you finally made it to blogland.....I have been waiting!!!!
Gave up on my garden here...too dry and too hot but a weird and wonderful thing did happen this week...some wet stuff fell from the sky. Might have to start the ol vege patch again.

    Bye for now

  2. Its good you had some rain. I'm addicted to this vegie gardening thing now and its a good thing that we don't have stringent water restrictions. I picked another 3 kilos of tomatoes today but its only a matter of time before we have a frost I think.
